City of Arvada- Arvada City Hall 1992-1993
We served as public art coordinator for the new city hall building. The City of Arvada does not have a per cent for art law so we advised them on processes and procedures which were then implemented. We guided a committee of building users, community representatives, city council members, artists, the architect, and an art historian to prepare a mission statement for the project. We wrote and sent out the public art  guidelines for artists, organized slides and presented them to the art committee. Working with the architect and the city, we designated art locations and set amounts for art locations based on the budget. Once artists were selected we managed the commission process, worked with the city attorney on the contracts and supervised the installation of art. We wrote the brochure for the collection, managed the budget and led tours of the newly installed art.
